Office/administration buildings
The new building, designed by schneider+schumacher, was conceived as a compact structure that responds precisely to the two distinct sides of the site and blends into the diverse character of the existing development. Behind a folded, generously glazed façade lie spaces designed for contemporary, sustainable and inspiring work and training environments.
With a usable floor area of around 7,500 square metres, the new building provides workspaces for around 150 employees, as well as around 860 seminar places and event rooms. Particular emphasis was placed on sustainability, especially in the choice of materials, the technical equipment and the building’s energy standards.
Particular design features of the building include the generously glazed façade and the sculptural spiral staircase in the open atrium. Here, at the heart of the building, it connects all areas – from the market square in the basement to the training rooms on the second floor. It was delivered to the site as large, fully prefabricated components and assembled in just a few days.
