House of Sponsorship

Hamburg, 2016 - 2019
Office/administration buildings, Commercial buildings

The “House of Sponsorships” designed by schneider+schumacher was opened in 2019. It is located directly opposite the ‘Philanthropy House’ housing the Plan International Foundation’s headquarters, which opened in 2013. The new structure occupies a prominent urban corner site at Bramfelder Strasse and Drosselstrasse, which is further emphasised by the rounded-off shape of the building.

In addition to flexible layouts for offices and meeting rooms, the building offers a commercial space on the ground floor with an inviting, transparent entrance off the street, where Plan Shop will sell items hitherto only available online. Other areas will be used for the commissioning and dispatch of goods and information.

Plan International’s new building is investing in a sustainable and liveable future: the building has green roofs plus a photovoltaic system and it fulfils the energy standard KFW 55.
