The Austrian team at schneider+schumacher is based in the heart of Vienna’s historic centre, in the 1st district. The spacious, light-filled offices are located at Gölsdorfgasse 4/2, in the Pollak Building – designed by Heinrich von Ferstel (1860–1862). A contemporary office design featuring flexible workspaces and a long counter serving as an informal meeting point creates a pleasant working atmosphere. The design also pays homage to the building’s history, as it was once home to the architect Josef Frank: for the conference room, an acoustic curtain made from a Josef Frank fabric (Baranquilla 1940) was chosen. The ‘Philosophical Table’ in the conference room was designed by schneider+schumacher and can also be found in the Frankfurt office. Red accents in the corporate identity colour run throughout the entire office – from the reception area to the kitchen.
