The Office

27.05.2019 - Notes

The book “The Office” by architectural photographer Rainer Taepper does not require any staging of images. Shot entirely in black-and-white, the photos aim to show how offices go about working, planning and designing. Since the book is organised in alphabetical order, schneider+schumacher’s Frankfurt office space is presented on the last pages: A symmetrically structured open-plan office with desk workstations along both window frontages, and a centrally positioned communication zone, where meetings to jointly develop design concepts are held on a regular basis. One of the office’s key axioms in creative design is the exchange of ideas.
