Forever new: Frankfurt’s old town

20.09.2018 - Exhibitions

Following on from schneider+schumacher’s 2010 masterplan for the site of the former Technisches Rathaus, between Braubachstraße and the Schirn, the office took over the coordination of the entire project in 2012, working as project architects. Those working on the scheme have been continually confronted by an on-going controversy, ever since the decision was made in 2005 to tear down the Technisches Rathaus. In a new exhibition "Forever new: Frankfurt’s Old Town", the Deutsches Architekturmuseum addresses the question of how the New Old Town arose out of this controversy.

The exhibition opens at 19:00 on 21 September and will be on display at the DAM until 10 March 2019.
