“New Old Town” opens for everyone to experience

The site – consisting of 15 replicas and 20 new buildings over an area of 7,000 m² – was opened to the public today for the first time. In 2012, following the approval of the DomRömer GmbH master plan, schneider+schumacher were appointed as project architects with a remit to act as coordinators for the entire project. As such, they became the interface between the client and the architects of the individual houses, as well as the building firms and artisans working on site. The ‘new old town’ will be ceremonially opened this autumn, once all the interior works are completed.
