Silver splendour

This new 120-page volume documents “the wave” sculpture project from inception, through manufacturing, transport and erection, right up to its opening. Published by Helen Schiffer, the book is elaborately illustrated with series of photos, sketches, plans and renderings.

Bernd Eilert, the author, elucidates the topic of waves and discusses their significance in an art historical context. Prof. Michael Schumacher shares his views on the project, which combines craftsmanship with high-tech manufacturing and planning to produce a work of art that is, at one and the same time, urban design and architecture.
