Architecture and “climate-friendly” building today

Fire prevention and building culture. How do they fit together? This is the overriding question to be posed at the ‘Frankfurter Metropolengespräch’ (Frankfurt Metropolis Talks), run by the urban future forum, at the Industrie- und Handelskammer on 1 February from 18:00 – 20:00.

Prof. Michael Schumacher’s keynote lecture on the topic “Architecture and ‘climate-friendly’ building today” employs some in-house examples: the new passive energy building for Frankfurt’s Parks Department, and the renovation work at the Bolongaro Palace.

The objective of the lecture is to highlight alternative approaches to fire prevention.
