A “win” in the Iconic Awards 2016: die welle

While ‘die welle’ is still on the shortlist for the Leaf Awards, it has already won a prize in the Iconic Awards. The jury were so taken by the external sculpture that they declared it the “Iconic Awards 2016 – Winner” in the category “Architecture – Urban Planning”. Since 2013 the German Design Council has presented Iconic Awards in five main categories. Alongside “Winners”, there is a “Best of Best” prize as well as awards for Special Categories, plus an Honorary Award, which this year went to Muji House Co Ltd. from Japan. “Architects of the Year” were Adjaye Associates from London.
