J.P. Morgan Chase and 10 Friends

30.06.2016 - Notes

In mid-June the annual J.P. Morgan Corporate Challenge Run took place in Frankfurt with a team from schneider+schumacher competing in the world’s largest corporate run. Happily, on the day, the weather improved towards the evening and some 70 000 participants running for their company were increasingly rewarded for their efforts with sunshine over the 5.6km run.

A fixed amount of each participant’s registration fee goes towards supporting sports projects for young people with physical disabilities. With J.P. Morgan doubling this amount, the run raised a total of 245 000 euros.

A second sporting event in June in which schneider+schumacher also participated was the 10 Friends Triathlon. Here, ten employees make up a team, which together covers the distance of an Ironman competition. This means that each member of the team has to swim 380m, bike for 18km and run 4.2km. Here too, the sun shone, and the weather was warm. Rather than aiming for fast speeds, the point of the 10 Friends event is to engender team spirit and collegiality.
