Facade Summit

On 20 October, our co-founder and board member Michael Schumacher will speak at the ‘9th International NEXT Façade Summit’ at NEXT Studio Frankfurt on outstanding architecture in an international context.

How can forward-looking building envelopes be planned and realised on an international scale? What demands do global construction and façade projects place on architecture, design and technology – and which solutions are crucial for the façades of tomorrow? These questions are at the heart of this year’s summit.

Alongside Michael Schumacher, Stefanie Weidner from Werner Sobek, Saša Begović from 3LHD and Maura Ambrosiano from Heatherwick Studio will provide insights into current projects, international developments and innovative approaches. The event will be moderated by Max Radt, VP Business Development at Technal, Sapa, Domal and Wicona.

The summit will take place on Tuesday, 20 October 2026, at 4 pm. Attendance is free of charge, but prior registration is required. Once registered, participants will receive a link to the YouTube livestream or details on how to attend in person at NEXT Studio Frankfurt.
