The interior design of the new IHK building

A building that can foster a sense of community – for staff and visitors alike: our partner Christian Simons and our project manager Patrick Lange take us on a tour of the new IHK Pfalz building in Ludwigshafen in a recently released video.

Designed by schneider+schumacher, the new IHK building is a sustainable and efficiently organised office block and training centre. The spacious atrium, featuring a sculptural spiral staircase, gives the building an open centre – a space that encourages interaction and connects the various levels. Combined with numerous glass surfaces, this creates visual connections that extend throughout the entire building. High-quality materials, such as the extensive use of oak, and small quiet spaces – for example on the roof terraces – promote a sense of well-being.
