Best High-Rises 2026/27

At the beginning of July, the high-rise projects nominated for the 2026/27 International High-Rise Award were announced. There are 30 projects from twelve countries and five continents. One of these is the Hetao Innovation Centre in Shenzhen, China, designed by schneider+schumacher. Situated directly on the river, this research building impresses with its stepped arrangement of two parallel structures that rise to form an office tower 120 metres high and are connected by externally positioned staircases in contrasting colours.

The International High-Rise Award is organised and presented every two years jointly by the City of Frankfurt am Main, the German Architecture Museum (DAM) and DekaBank. The winner will be announced on 3 November 2026 at the Paulskirche in Frankfurt am Main.
