Architecture Day 2026

01.06.2026 - Notes

With the IHK Pfalz project in Ludwigshafen and the Hellinghöfe project in Wiesbaden, schneider+schumacher is taking part in this year’s Architecture Day, which, as every year, is organised by the Chambers of Architects on the last weekend in June. At these two locations, we will be offering an insight into the design, implementation and key architectural features of each project – and look forward to engaging with visitors on site.

IHK Pfalz, Ludwigshafen

In Ludwigshafen, we are showcasing the recently completed new building for the IHK Pfalz. A defining feature is the generously glazed façade with prismatically tilted surfaces that reflect trees and the sky differently depending on the viewing angle. Inside, an atrium with a sculptural spiral staircase forms the centre; training and seminar rooms are arranged around a structured courtyard with sunken courtyards and roof terraces.

Tour dates: Saturday, 27 June, 11 am to 6 pm, every hour on the hour, no booking required

Hellinghöfe, Wiesbaden

The Hellinghöfe residential quarter in the Mainz-Kastel district of Wiesbaden comprises 177 flats as well as retail and commercial spaces, and was realised by schneider+schumacher in collaboration with Dreissigacker Architekten BDA and the planning office Lyson. A block on Wiesbadener Straße and six point blocks staggered towards the Rhine form the quarter; a green, terraced car park roof connects it to the Rhine riverside park. A sustainable energy concept featuring geothermal energy, photovoltaics and heat pumps efficiently supplies the barrier-free flats.

Tour dates: Saturday, 27 June, 10 am and 12 pm; please register in advance at info@hellinghoefe.de
