Hellinghöfe officially opened

09.12.2025 - Notes

At the beginning of December, the urban residential quarter Hellinghöfe in the Mainz-Kastel district of Wiesbaden was officially opened. The complex, consisting of 177 apartments, retail space and a small amount of commercial space, was realised by schneider+schumacher in collaboration with Dreissigacker Architekten BDA and the planning office Lyson.

The quarter consists of a building block along Wiesbadener Straße and six point blocks in the area behind the Rheinuferpark. The six point blocks are staggered in height towards the Rhine, so that – together with the intensively greened and terraced roof of the parking garage – a flowing connection between the banks of the Rhine and the new residential quarter is created, which matches the scale of the neighbourhood.

The apartments, which are rented out by HellingHöfe GmbH, are barrier-free and, thanks to a sustainable energy concept that combines geothermal energy, photovoltaic systems and heat pumps, are particularly efficient and low-emission. The integration of commercial and retail space into the complex – a REWE supermarket is one of the main tenants and opened on Saturday – creates a lively centre for the neighbourhood that combines comfort and sustainability.
