Panel discussion on Frankfurt’s city centre

‘Much has happened – much remains to be done. What does the future hold for Frankfurt’s city centre between the Zeil and the Main?’ – this is the subject of a panel discussion on 3 September at 19:00, organised by Kuratorium Kulturelles Frankfurt. The focus will be on the Frankfurt’s concept for its city centre, and upcoming construction projects such as the new House of Democracy, remodelling the cathedral area, and renovating Peek & Cloppenburg department store. The discussion will also review previous projects such as the schemes for the New Old Town and the Maintor.
The discussion will be overseen by Dr Matthias Alexander from the Frankfurter Allgemeine Zeitung newspaper, and includes the architectural historian Prof. Dr Ole W. Fischer, the Head of Planning Prof. Dr Marcus Gwechenberger, the architect Jens Jakob Happ, and our partner Prof. Astrid Wuttke.
The event takes place at the Evangelische Akademie, Römerberg 9 in Frankfurt, and will be broadcast live on the YouTube channel of Kuratorium Kulturelles Frankfurt. Further information: https://kulturellesfrankfurt.de/03-09-2025.
