Architecture Day 2025

We are featuring our Städel Roof project as part of this year’s Architecture Day, organised by the Chambers of Architects. This event takes place, as every year, in the last weekend in June. A total of 74 projects can be visited in Hessen.

The new Städel Roof offers a remarkable panoramic view of the Frankfurt skyline. At a height of 15 metres, the visitor terrace is located above the main entrance to the museum. The space-saving design features two internal spiral staircases made of steel – a solution that avoided the need for any structural changes to the listed façade of the building. The two cylinders, each with 50 steps, mediate as a sculptural intervention between old and new.

On Sunday, 29 June, we are offering three guided tours for 20 people each – at 15:00, 16:00 and 17:00. Participation requires prior registration at pr@schneider-schumacher.de.
