A new sports hall for ball games was the subject of a single-stage architectural competition jointly run by the Bundesimmobiliengesellschaft (BIG) together with the Austrian Federal Ministry for Education, Arts & Culture, the State of Steiermark and the City of Graz. Seventy practices took part in the competition, with schneider+schumacher winning the 4th prize for their design.
