Unbuilt Frankfurt

23.01.2018 - Publications

In his new book: "Ungebautes Frankfurt: Die Stadt, die nicht sein sollte" published by Societäts-Verlag (roughly translated: ‘Unbuilt Frankfurt: The city that was never to be’), FAZ architectural correspondent Matthias Alexander shows how the Main metropolis might have appeared today. These past projects, and projects that were never implemented, are intended to shed light on how the city developed.

Entitled “Im Zeichen des Dreiecks”(or ‘Making use of the triangle’), the author presents schneider+schumacher’s design for the skyscraper “Hochhaus T11”, which would have created a glazed triangular arrangement on Frankfurt’s skyline, combined with the twin towers of the Deutsche Bank and the skyscraper Trianon.
